Connor Vaughn is the Director of Bands at Lawrence North HS in Indianapolis, and one of four directors for the Marching Pride of Lawrence Township. As an Indianapolis native, Connor has worked with several of the top programs in the area including, Center Grove, Brownsburg, and currently the Marching Pride of Lawrence Township. Connor played trumpet for Carolina Crown’s brass in 2014 and 2015. After aging out, he went on to teach 3 seasons with the Crossmen. Currently, Connor is a brass instructor for the Sacramento Mandarins Drum & Bugle Corps. Connor has studied under Col. Michael Colburn, Allen Miller of the Indianapolis Symphony, Bill Adams at Indiana University, and Mike White. Connor holds a bachelors degree in Music Education from Butler University.
Dan Herrick is currently in his 7th year as a band director, and his 1st year as Assistant Band Director at Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis, Indiana.He also serves as an Assistant Director of the Marching Pride of Lawrence Township(MPLT). He has previously served as Head Director of Decatur Middle School Bands, Assistant Director of the Decatur Central High School Marching Band, and Head Director of the WGI Bronze Medalist Decatur Central Indoor Winds.
After graduating high school, Dan marched with the Blue Stars in the summer of 2009 before turning his focus to college. While at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, Dan studied tuba under Daniel Perantoni, while also receiving lessons from Roland Szentpali and Tony Kniffen. Dan was active in several ensembles at I.U. -- concert bands, orchestras, marching band, basketball band, and even an opera. Dan studied under the baton of such conductors as Steven Pratt, Jeff Gershman, Paul Popiel, Dave Woodley, and Arthur Fagen through these ensembles. He is also currently a tuba tech for the Mandarins Drum and Corps(2019-present) and as a tuba tech for the Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps (2015-2018).Dan is married to his lovely and understanding wife Janessa, and they share their home with their three cats, Arya, Teddy, and Ella.
Alex Entin is a drum corps veteran who participated as a marching member and a staff member at both the Blue Knights and The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps. His extensive knowledge of the marching arts includes many years of experience on staff and as a member with multiple Colorado high school winter percussion ensembles as well as the Independent World Class Blue Knights Percussion Ensemble. Alex has proudly been with the Battalion Drum & Bugle Corps since it’s Inaugural Camp in November 2014. Alex Entin received his Bachelors degree in Music Education from the University of Northern Colorado under the instruction of Professor Gray Barrier. His classical training on piano and percussion has taken him around the world touring and performing with prestigious ensembles. Alex performed with the top Wind Ensembles, Orchestras and Percussion Ensembles during his studies at UNC. He also received instruction from percussion teachers: Jim White, Jim Casella, Mike Nevin, Pat Amann, Ward Durrett, Brett Montgomery, Jim Ancona, Ray Ulibarri, and many more great teachers from around the world.
Mr. Entin is the Percussion Director at Lawrence Township North High School in Indianapolis, Indiana where he instructs with a world class staff the Marching Pride of Lawrence Township and the Lawrence Township Winter Percussion. His wife Savannah also teaches music and together they raise their two children Mason and Emily.
