Uniforms
It is the responsibility of each student to keep his/her uniform(s), accessories and band wear at home—clean and neatly hung up or properly stored. Never leave the uniform at school. School owned items are to be returned at the end of each season. Loss of or damage to the uniform is the student’s responsibility.
Uniform fittings take place during August for marching band and during September for all other bands. Uniforms will be issued in August for marching band, October for concert groups, and November for the Pep Band.
School owned uniforms will be altered, as needed, by the Uniform Committee. Alterations to student owned concert wear are the student's responsibility.
Periodic as needed cleaning is the student’s responsibility; however, bulk cleaning for school-owned items will be provided at the end of each season. Instructions for cleaning and care can be found in the LN Bands pdf_files.
Orders for various types of band shirts including show, performance, and tux shirts, will be taken at appropriate times throughout the year for Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, and Pep Band.
Jewelry must not be worn during marching performances or competitions. Judges will dock points from our scores if they notice anyone wearing jewelry. Long hair must be worn up inside hats for marching band — no exceptions. Light makeup is acceptable for the Marching Band; heavier makeup is allowed as part of the Color Guard costume.
