Marching Band
Being a member of the Regime is an exciting opportunity as well as a privilege. The honors, accolades and respect that the marching band has received across the country are a testament to all of the hard work and commitment that Lawrence North students have demonstrated throughout the past 30 plus years.
The LN Regime is comprised of over 120 students and performs competitively across the state of Indiana. LN Regime also performs at football games, music festivals, parades, ceremonies, and community events. Its long history of award-winning performances has proven its commitment to music and performing excellence. Many of LN’s marching band students go on to perform in DCI and University Bands.
The marching band participates in Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA) competitions, held at various high schools across Indiana, starting in September and running through October. Students start preparing for these competitions in the summer by learning the new season’s show. Students are required to memorize the music along with drill designs.
Marching band is about working together to achieve a high level of excellence. Participants work as a team at all times. Therefore, it is important that each and every student give their best at every rehearsal. This means preparing music, memorization, movement and choreography, equipment work (color guard) and working hard during rehearsals.
